Les activités d’Emmaüs en Gironde sont gérées par quatre associations réparties en trois secteurs - appelés « branches » - s’inscrivant dans le schéma général de l’organisation d’Emmaüs France.

Branche "Communautaire"

Emmaüs Aquitaine, association créée en 1968, est membre de la branche "Communautaire" d’Emmaüs France et gère la communauté Emmaüs de Parempuyre.

Elle accueille une quarantaine de compagnons depuis 37 ans et vit du travail traditionnel de récupération commun aux 115 communautés en France.

Branche "Action Sociale et Logement"

Emmaüs 33 "Urgence Sociale" regroupe les activités qui relèvent de l’action sociale et du logement et adhère à la branche "Action Sociale et Logement" d’Emmaüs France.

A Bordeaux, Emmaüs 33 "Urgence Sociale" gère la Boutique Solidarité (Fondation Abbé Pierre), l’accompagnement social, le logement (urgence, logement collectif en chambres individuelles à Bacalan, appartements en diffus) et les trois Ateliers d’accompagnement (recherche d’emploi, recherche de logement, alphabétisation).

En 2005, en partenariat avec le collectif CAUSE, cette branche avait géré la Halte de nuit de la Place Puy Paulin. Cet hiver, elle a traité le dossier de la Crise des Enfants de Don Quichotte en partenariat avec l’Etat et la Mairie de Bordeaux.

Dans cette même branche, Emmaüs l’Hermitage est une structure expérimentale d’accueil pour adolescents en rupture relevant de l’ASE (Aide sociale à l’enfance du Conseil général), sur le domaine de l’Hermitage à Martillac.

Branche "Economie Solidaire et Insertion"

Emmaüs "Développement", association créée en 2003, est membre de la branche "Economie Solidaire et Insertion" d’Emmaüs France.

Elle gère les boutiques de vêtements d’occasion, l’activité de récupération du matériel informatique (appareils et consommables), les lieux de vente du 256 cours de la Somme (« Le Petit Bric ») du Centre Daney à Bacalan, d’Emmaüs Sud-Gironde à Bazas et une activité de services de petits travaux, de déménagement, de manutention, de livraison et de nettoyage (Emmaüs "Services").

Depuis septembre 2006, Emmaüs "Développement" gère deux entreprises adaptées : les Ateliers de la Maye (à Bègles) et les Ateliers du Site (à Saint-Seurin-sur-l’Isle). Ces deux entreprises emploient 35 travailleurs handicapés dans différentes activités qui vont de la transformation du bois aux espaces verts.

une petite mise à jour s'impose dans la vente de vêtements il y a aussi la plus ancienne boutique de bordeaux qui se situe dans la rue du palais gallien et depuis 2 ans environ une autre boutique se situe à Cenon.
